The Art Museum of Southeast Texas (AMSET) collects, preserves, exhibits and interprets the visual arts with special attention to regional fine and folk arts of the 19th-21st centuries by providing for conservation, preservation and exhibition of collections including docent-led tours, publications, symposia, film, lectures, and interdisciplinary programs. Admission is free. Exhibitions rotate every 12 weeks and feature primarly living artists. AMSET has 13 education programs, most of which are also free including free Family Art Days and workshops.
