Located in the heart of Austin on the Texas Capitol Mall, the Bullock Texas State History Museum is the state’s official history museum. Explore 16,000 years of Texas history, from its earliest inhabitants to the Space Race and beyond, through three floors of exhibition galleries.

The Bullock Museum also hosts a variety of special exhibitions featuring immersive multimedia experiences and artifacts from all over the world. Visitors can watch short, multisensory films in the Texas Spirit Theater or take in a documentary or feature film on the 62-foot-tall screen in the IMAX® Theatre. Bullock Museum programs and events provide an opportunity for the community to celebrate culture, explore new ideas, and share experiences together. Grab a snack or meal in The Star Cafe or find the perfect Texas souvenir at the Bullock Museum Store.

At the Bullock Museum, we create experiences that educate, engage, and encourage a deeper understanding of Texas.
