The Heard is a living museum celebrating Native people of the Southwest through its world famous collections, spectacular exhibitions, colorful festivals, artist demonstrations and artist residency programs. With exhibition galleries, outdoor sculpture gardens, and an upscale Shop and Café, the Heard Museum offers unrivalled experiences of Southwestern cultures. The Heard Museum’s galleries feature traditional and contemporary American Indian art. Especially noted is the museum’s broad array of katsina dolls, which includes a collection donated by the late Senator Barry M. Goldwater.
