Krannert Art Museum and Kinkead Pavilion is located on the University of Illinois campus. The museum’s rich and comprehensive collection of over 8,000 works of fine art spans 6,000 years of world culture and represents the cultures of Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Europe. In addition to its permanent collection, the museum offers outstanding temporary exhibitions that are complemented by a full program of public lectures, music and dance performances, and film screenings. Krannert Art Museum’s Giertz Education Center serves educators by providing workshops and a free-loan collection of over 4,000 art and cultural objects and instructional items which include resources such as videos, slides, replicas, posters, and other materials addressing art and artists from many cultures throughout history.
