For 60 years, the New Britain Youth Museum (NBYM), a non-profit museum and nature center, has served as an educational resource for children, youth, families, and teachers in central Connecticut. The New Britain Youth Museum offers school programming, outreach, exhibits, and special events that focus on the history, art, science, and cultural heritage of the diverse peoples of the region.

Two locations have been established to meet our mission; NBYM downtown is an intimate museum with changing exhibits and interactive activities for children of all ages. NBYM at Hungerford Park, a 30-acre nature- and animal rehabilitation center located at 191 Farmington Avenue, Kensington,  Both locations are open year-round. The New Britain Youth Museum at Hungerford Park, Kensington, offers educational programming, exhibits and special events that relate to environmental education, biological and animal sciences, and STEM.
