San Juan Islands Museum of Art – IMA – is San Juan County’s first fine visual arts museum. Created by enthusiastic art-minded islanders more than a decade ago, IMA has hosted an impressive stream of highly professional exhibits from paintings and photography to sculpture, by regionally, nationally and internationally renowned artists. On December 5, 2014 IMA has opened the doors to its new permanent home – a dramatic architect-designed light-filled atrium building.

Located on Spring Street in Friday Harbor on breathtakingly beautiful San Juan Island, WA – a town already renowned for its many and varied avenues of artistic expression IMA will help to establish the San Juan Islands as a true international art destination.
