When one thinks of the 1920s, images of flappers, jazz, and speakeasies immediately come to mind. While that is relatively true, for Abilene, the 1920s was an era of major change and growth, just like it was throughout the United States. Come check out Abilene in the 1920s on the third floor to learn more.
This exhibition features clothing, photographs, and several artifacts from the Museum’s permanent collection and from Abilene Christian University’s (ACU) Museum collection. The exhibition is co-curated by Dr. Amanda Biles, Director of Public History and Assistant Professor of History at ACU.
