Andy Warhol (American, 1928-1987) is synonymous with the Pop Art movement. One of the most prolific and influential artists of the 20th century, he produced more than 9,000 paintings and sculptures, 12,000 drawings, 100,000 photographs and 650 films during his lifetime. The archives of The Andy Warhol Museum alone hold over 8,625 cubic feet of material. The museum, which is housed over seven floors in his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is the largest museum in the United States dedicated to a single artist.
