Celebrating Black History: On Site, Online, and In Our Community
Western Reserve Historical Society (WRHS)
Cleveland, Ohio

Black History Month was established in the United States in 1970 to acknowledge the people and events in the history of the African diaspora. While these stories are uplifted every February, the Western Reserve Historical Society (WRHS) continues to collect, preserve and share stories of Black history all twelve months of the year. This history is reflected through exhibits, special events, speakers bureau, and education programs for audiences of all ages.
