“In Motion” features the artworks of Carrie Creech and Gerri Green, whose practices explore movement and memory in painting and ceramics. Carrie Creech presents a series of ceramic vessels that capture fleeting gestures and fluidity within clay. Creech’s forms explore the dichotomy of space and surface, punctuated by curves and seams that embody a sense of captured motion. Gerri Green’s paintings celebrate the tranquility and ever-changing landscapes of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
