A graduate of Mississippi College with a degree in Fine Art, Mississippi Gulf Coast native, Jason Pittman, began his career as a professional muralist. In recent years, he has shifted his focus to studio practice, building a reputation for original works and private commissions ranging from coastal and farmhouse themes to portraits and pet commissions.
Now based on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Pittman devotes much of his practice to coastal-themed paintings that honor the rhythm, beauty, and resilience of the region. Alongside his personal work, he is passionate about teaching, offering painting classes from his studio where he shares his process with students of all levels.
