“Kyungmi Shin: Origin Stories” invites you to discover the visual storytelling of Korean American artist Kyungmi Shin. Curated by jill moniz, this exhibition delves into Shin’s exploration of indigeneity and identity. Through personal archives and symbols from Korean shamanism, Shin challenges narratives of empire, colonization, and gender. Layering photography, painting, and porcelain, she creates a new imaginary that embraces diversity and holds space for varied journeys across time and space.
