“Locally Sourced: Collecting Long Island Artists” tells the compelling story of art on Long Island through The Heckscher Museum of Art’s permanent collection. The exhibition underscores the Museum’s commitment to preserving and presenting the stories of Long Island through art.
Organized in four distinct themes, East End Exchanges, Women’s Voices, Huntington’s Own, and Long Island Environments, the exhibition celebrates artists such as Elaine DeKooning, Jackson Pollack, Fairfield Porter, and many more who lived and worked on Long Island.
