On view through September 18, 2022
The Heckscher Museum of Art
Huntington, New York

Drawn from The Heckscher Museum of Art’s Collection, this exhibition features a broad range of artwork inspired by the moon and moonlight. From the nineteenth century to the present, artists have gravitated to the moon for reasons scientific, mythic, and symbolic. The celestial artworks on view explore our enduring fascination with the moon in all its phases.
