Founded in 1969 by artist and educator Jan Sullivan, the Art Barn School of Art is a creative haven set on nearly 70 acres of tranquil woodlands and pastures. Originally a small farm with a big vision, it has grown into a nature-based retreat that welcomes individuals of all ages and artistic abilities to explore, experiment, and grow through the arts.

Art Barn offers a diverse range of programs, including adult & youth classes, community workshops, guest artist workshops, and rotating exhibitions of regional art, fostering creativity, diversity, and connection.

In Spring, Art Barn’s walls fill floor to ceiling with artwork from all over the country for the annual Juried Art Exhibition. In September, Art Barn hosts its annual outdoor Art Blitz which engages thousands of visitors in art-making, demonstrations and fun for the whole family.
