Discover the vibrant history of the Greater Augusta Region’s Jewish community at the Augusta Jewish Museum.

Located next to Georgia’s oldest surviving synagogue building, the Museum brings Jewish history to life through engaging exhibits focused on the rich tapestry of Jewish contributions to the Greater Augusta Region, Jewish traditions, culture, and values, Holocaust remembrance, and the story of Israel and its people.

The Augusta Jewish Museum opened to the public in 2021 with rotating displays, interactive education programs, and an evolving virtual museum. Expansion plans include restoring a former sanctuary that will soon serve as a cultural center, community space, and event venue.
