The Campbell Museums are a City of Campbell owned and operated Museum organization with two museum sites. The historical museum and the Ainsley House.
The historical museum, located in an old firehouse, has four exhibit areas within one large exhibit gallery. The exhibits explore the changing themes in the Santa Clara Valley over the last 200 years.
The Ainsley House is a 1925 historical house museum. The Ainsley House was placed on the registry of historic places in 2005. The House was the third and final home of local fruit canning pioneer JC AInsley and his wife, Alcinda. The Ainsley family donated the house and all the original furniture to the City of Campbell in 1989.
Both museums are open for tours Thurs-Sun from 12-4pm and both help tell the story of California’s agricultural history and the changing community of Campbell.
