Cape Fear Museum of History and Science is a county funded Museum whose collection dates back to 1898. This first-class facility features more than 400 artifacts, and spans three floors. Cape Fear Stories dives into the rich history of the lower Cape Fear. Port City Play is an imaginative play space designed for younger children and their caregivers. Science Matters is a hands-on exhibition exploring how science shapes our daily lives. Curious nature is an outdoor gallery on the Museum’s rooftop terrace. It highlights the beauty of our region, inspires curiosity, and features an interactive water play table.. The Museum is also home to a 60-seat planetarium and a changing exhibition gallery.
