The Carondelet Historical Society is dedicated to preserving and presenting the heritage of our unique community. Carondelet was formerly an independent village, town, then city, and is now a neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri.

The Carondelet History Museum is the site of Susan Blow’s Des Peres School, founded in 1873 as the first publicly funded Kindergarten in the United States. It is also home of the Frederick Bouchein Library, one of the finest historical libraries and archives in the region.
