The mission of the Champaign Aviation Museum (CAM) is Touching Lives by Restoring History.
With a reputation as a center of excellence for the restoration and maintenance of World War II era aircraft, CAM honors our Veterans and their families while educating the public about the experiences of past generations that flew in combat.  CAM offers visitors a rare, hands-on opportunity to experience and learn about the history, personal stories, aircraft, and artifacts of the era, and to engage with Museum volunteers as they work to restore to airworthiness a B-17G Flying Fortress named Champaign Lady.  Additional aircraft at CAM are an operational B-25J Champaign Gal, F-24 Fairchild once owned by Buddy Rogers, Stinson 10A used by the Civil Air Patrol, and a C-1A which operated from the USS Lexington and USS Roosevelt.  Also on display are a C-47 Skytrain, an A-26 Invader, a Beechcraft Model 18, many WWII Army Air Force and Veteran’s artifacts, and a growing display dedicated to the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) of WWII. The Champaign Aviation Museum is situated on historic Grimes Field Airport which conveniently offers a full-service Airport Cafe restaurant where visitors can refresh and refuel.  Museum admission is free and NARM Members receive a 10% discount in our Gift Shop. We look forward to seeing you!
