The Franklin Area Historical Society preserves the heritage of Franklin and Franklin Township, Ohio, through its collections and community programs. We manage two historic sites: the 1901 Colonial Revival Harding home, featuring military memorabilia from General Edwin Forrest Harding and Nuremberg trial records from his brother Judge Justin Harding, and the Log Post Office Museum, an 1805 structure on the National Register of Historic Places. Through exhibitions, archives, and educational events, we connect residents and visitors to the region’s founding era and legacy, ensuring that our local history remains accessible and celebrated for generations to come.
