The Fresno Art Museum offers a dynamic experience for appreciating art. The museum welcomes, inspires, and educates a diverse regional audience through significant exhibitions, thought-provoking programs, and meaningful interactions with artists and the creative process.
Established as a regional art center in 1948, FAM has grown into an important accredited museum and a hub for cultural activity that is a true reflection of our Valley. The Museum plays a central role as arts and history educator, presenter, and a repository for the artistic and cultural treasures of one of the fastest growing and most diverse areas of California. The Fresno Art Museum’s exhibition schedule offers a dynamic experience for appreciating and understanding visual arts and world cultures. Since the Museum welcomes, inspires, and educates a diverse regional audience, its significant exhibitions strive to reflect the diversity of the community. While the emphasis of our exhibitions is on visual art, under the leadership of Executive Director, Linda Cano the Museum has expanded its focus to include cultural exhibitions that respond to the unique needs of our population, engage people in thoughtful discussion, connect to the entire community, and are topically relevant, both locally and globally.
