Founded in 1971, the Herreshoff Marine Museum is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the legacy of the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company and the America’s Cup. The Museum houses an extraordinary collection of classic yachts, maritime artifacts, and historic documents, and serves as a center for education, innovation, and stewardship of Rhode Island’s rich nautical heritage. The museum’s mission is to educate, support, and inspire the next generation of sailors through sailing & STEM education programs.
