Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center (KTM&HC), located on Main Street in Ridgefield, CT, tells the town’s—and nation’s—history through the lives of its past residents. The four-acre historic site features a historic house dating back to 1713, a garden house with formal gardens, and a carriage barn designed by architect, Cass Gilbert.

The Keeler Tavern, a historic house was originally built in 1713 and served as a colonial tavern, 19th century hotel, and 20th century summer estate. The house was the target of British cannon fire during the Battle of Ridgefield in 1777, the only inland battle in Connecticut during the American Revolution. During the early 20th century, the property was the summer estate of famed architect Cass Gilbert.

Admission to KTM&HC includes interpreter-led Museum and Walking tours, changing exhibitions, and access to the scenic grounds and gardens.
