In Laurel, awaiting your discovery, is one of Mississippi’s greatest treasures, the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art. Upon the untimely death of Lauren Eastman Rogers, his family established Mississippi’s first art museum in 1923.
The Lauren Rogers Museum of Art boasts more than 2,000 items in its collections and more than 25,000 square feet of galleries and exhibition areas. You’ll find a fascinating display of works ranging from one of the world’s smallest baskets to a series of 18th century Japanese woodblock prints that show the printmaking sequence step by step.
The LRMA Museum Shop is located in the Museum lobby and filled with creative and unique gifts.
