The New Hampshire Farm Museum was named Yankee Magazine’s “Best Day on the Farm” in 2019, and received the Northeast Credit Union’s “Love Your Community” Grant in 2021. In 2025, we were awarded the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce’s “Nonprofit of the Year” award.
The Museum consists of two historic homesteads that focus on preserving New Hampshire’s rich, rural agricultural heritage. Both the Jones Farm and the Plummer Homestead date back to the late 18th century and are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In addition to our collection of historic buildings and barns, agricultural exhibits, displays, and collections, we are also a working farm, keeping a selection of heritage breed farm animals and a variety of gardens on the property. The Farm Museum hosts special events and programs on weekends throughout the year. We offer guided tours of the farm and the historic Jones farmhouse, exhibits, and displays of rural life and agriculture in New Hampshire. Workshops, school groups, visits, home school visits, adult groups, and day camps are offered throughout the year. Our goal is to paint a full picture of New Hampshire’s agricultural history in a hands-on setting. Come explore our fifty-acre farm soon!
