Established in 1914, the Riley County Historical Society & Museum collects, preserves, and presents the heritage of Riley County and the State of Kansas, supporting, advocating for and promoting an interest and awareness of our local history and the Riley County Historical Museum for the benefit of all.

The RCHSM operates the official museum of Riley County with the support and collaboration of the Riley County, Kansas Government. In addition to the Museum located at 2309 Claflin Rd., Manhattan, Kansas, the group manages and operates a number of other historically significant properties and museums throughout the County. These properties display exhibits of both historical and educational context and offer guided tours.

The organization also provides educational and outreach programs to the citizens and visitors of Riley County throughout the calendar year.
