The Sumter Gallery of Art (SCGA) is a non-profit, community-based institution with a mission to present and promote the visual arts, to increase the knowledge and appreciation thereof, and to provide contemporary, culturally diverse visual art exhibitions in two rotating galleries, and year round art education opportunities for youth and adults in Sumter, Clarendon and Lee counties – an extensively rural, economically depressed, region of the state. It is an institution dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all in our community.
