“This is my Garden of Eden … the realization of dreams that I had when I was a lad.”
–Gustav Stickley
Craftsman Farms was the early 20th century rustic country estate of Gustav Stickley, who, in his combined roles as furniture maker, architect, and publisher, became the leading voice of the Arts and Crafts movement in America. An embodiment of the Craftsman style he popularized, the Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms still reflects the simplicity, integrity, and harmony with nature that he saw as an antidote to modern life.
Today, the site is a gem of Parsippany, NJ, comprising nine original buildings on thirty tranquil acres. At its heart is the Log House, Gustav Stickley’s architectural masterpiece.
