As the museum and library of the city of Worcester, Museum of Worcester (MOW) represents ourselves as who we are today – diverse communities of individuals, families, schools, businesses, and cultures. MOW values/supports the vibrancy of these unique and collective cultures and connects individuals/communities to its vast collection, extensive library, and 12 annual exhibits/60 programs.

Approaching its 150th anniversary on Jan. 23, 2025, MOW is a vital community anchor that engages our communities, partnering with diverse community representatives and serving as a place for conversations and social/cultural interaction. Commitment to building/supporting a diverse/strong arts and culture ecosystem – where ALL belong – is evidenced by MOW’s long tradition of strong community partnerships beginning in 1983 with Water Street (Eastern European Jewish immigrant story) and continuing with the Armenian, Swedish, Vietnamese and others to today’s Latinx, Black, and LGBTQ+ projects.
