The Temple Sinai Jewish History Center recently opened as part of the Sumter County Museum. The Center features an introduction to Jewish traditions, exploration of Jewish immigrants, stories from Sumter residents, lessons from the Holocaust, and oral histories. Visitors can spend time in the newly developed exhibit hall and then marvel at the historic stained-glass windows and beautiful architectural features of the temple’s sanctuary (1913). The Center is open Thursdays and Fridays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm and Saturdays from 10:00am to 1:00pm
