During her time as an artist in residence at ARTS Southeast, Jana will be working on pieces for her upcoming exhibition at the SCAD Museum of Art. The show will feature sculptural paintings and a wall-sized installation of drawings that raise questions about our internal state in relation to our body and our surroundings. At what point do they coalesce? Through visceral imagery, texture, and sculptural approaches to painting, she conjures worlds from memory and partial recall, allowing feeling to take over logic.
