“Tania Candiani: Cromática” is a solo exhibition by Mexican artist Tania Candiani, curated by Blanca De la Torre. The exhibition is making its debut in the United States after having traveling to Oaxaca, Guadalajara, Hermosillo, and Ciudad Juárez, Mexico.
“Cromática” explores color, sound, and synesthesia—a condition in which one sense is simultaneously perceived by different senses. Known for her interdisciplinary approaches that collaboratively mining fields of research and production—both artisanal and industrial—her work navigates the intersections of art, design, sound, architecture, and science.

Colores antiguos / Antique Colors is a series of ink injections on cinnabar paper: Hermatites, Red Ocher, Ercolano Red, Venice Red, Azurite, Indigo, Lazuli Pencil, Citrine, True Naples Yellow, Limonite, Golden Ocher, Ocher Jaune, Ocher Dark Yellow, and Oropimente.
