“The Hiking Club: A Vocabulary of Yearning” is a solo exhibition featuring work by artist Linda Simmel that intertwines the story of being the daughter of an immigrant with landscape, trees, and the sublime in nature. It pairs the reverie of a father’s youth with a daughter’s yearning to walk in nature.
Through evocative drawings, etchings, and paintings, Linda Simmel explores personal and cultural connections between landscape, memory, and history.
