Art and Design from 1900 to Now
On view through June 9, 2024
Museum of Art, Rhode Island School of Design (RISD)
Providence, Rhode Island
“Art and Design 1900 to Now” is a new presentation of the RISD Museum’s modern and contemporary collection across four gallery spaces featuring newly acquired and rarely exhibited works focusing on underrepresented artists and designers. Reflecting the interconnectedness between art forms, the galleries include works on paper, costume and textiles, painting, sculpture, photography, and decorative arts and design.
“Narratives don’t have to come from one place. There are other ways of understanding histories through different points of view.”
