Desierto Mountain Time
Through Spring 2022
Organized by 516 ARTS
Albuquerque, New Mexico
Organized by 516 ARTS in Albuquerque, New Mexico, “Desierto Mountain Time” is a constellation of contemporary arts organizations in the Southwestern United States and Northern Mexico drawn together by our shared interest in making meaningful connections between local and international communities.
Spanning the Chihuahuan, Sonoran, and High Deserts, “Desierto Mountain Time” shines a light on the hub of vital, interconnected arts activity happening in our shared region, and engages art as a means of political, social, economic, and environmental dialogue. The network was formed at the beginning of the pandemic as a way to connect and think regionally about our shared values and concerns. The publication highlights some of the artists and projects who will be individually presented during Fall 2021 through Spring 2022, and serves as a launch for our ongoing collaborative work.
