Cadiz Community Arts Center along with Janice Mason Art Museum and Southern Kentucky Independent Theater are pleased to present Dr. Robin Gutmann of Cadiz, Kentucky and his fine arts exhibition. His art represents a life-long commitment to the arts and his various examples of styles and mediums used throughout his career.

Dr. Gutmann has done a little of everything. After an honorable discharge in 1966 from the U.S. Navy, Dr. Gutmann attended Montclair State Teachers College, majoring in Fine Arts and Education. He has received training in: graphic serigraphy, pen and ink, intaglio (etching and engraving, lithography (stone & zinc), painting (oil, acrylic, encaustic, gauche, tempera, water color and wash, impasto) printing, (wood block and linoleum cut printing), stained glass, sculpture (miscellaneous materials), media, ceramics, textiles and a variety of sketching techniques.

Dr. Gutmann believes freedom in design is essential, but always with technique and craftsmanship. His art classes included extensive vocabulary skills to enhance the student’s ability to express themselves in critiques and class verbal deliveries long with varied art mediums and techniques.
