Prior to her life as a gallery owner, Ellen Chisdes Neuberg studied musical theater, speech and art therapy, and worked for much her life in these fields. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Chatham College (now Chatham University) in 1991 at age 52. Ellen started painting and selling her artwork in 1970 and hasn’t stopped since. She is a member of Associated Artists of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Society of Artists, and Group A.
“While trying to conjure up a title for this show, the word puzzlement came to mind. It is the title of a spoken song from the musical, The King and I, originally performed on Broadway, with both utter confusion and humor, by Yul Brynner, playing the role of the King of Siam.”
