Finding Maine: The Wyeth Family of Artists
On view through December 31, 2025

Drawn primarily from the Farnsworth’s collection, “Finding Maine: The Wyeth Family of Artists” presents a selection of art from the Wyeth family made over a century of generational living and working in midcoast Maine. From their early summers in Port Clyde to establishing homes and lasting friendships, the Wyeth family’s roots deepened within the surrounding island and coastal communities they came to know and love.
Come to the Farnsworth this summer to see works by N.C., Andrew, and Jamie Wyeth, by Henriette Wyeth Hurd, John McCoy, Merle James, and others—as we celebrate the Maine story of a family’s unique legacy.
