Formerly the ‘Pilgrim of Newport,’ the renamed ‘Spirit of Dana Point’ is an excellent teaching platform where students directly experience life at sea as it has been for hundreds of years. The 118-ft. schooner is used for living history and at-sea maritime programs throughout the year.

See the principles of physics on board every Saturday during our Sunset and Adventure Sails. You can also tour the ‘Spirit’ during our general admission hours and learn more from our experienced crew. If you would like to see even more historical ships in action, check out the Wooden Boat Festival in Newport Beach on June 13!
