Merrill Collection is curated as part of the Craft in America nationwide initiative, HANDWORK: Celebrating American Craft, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States, honoring the rich tradition of American craftsmanship. This collaboration among institutions, educators, and makers celebrates the diversity of crafts that define American handmade art throughout our history and contemporary life and showcases underrepresented art and artists.
