Margaret Scott Dobbins looks to many influences in her environment as motivators and always asks “what if” in the process of painting. Other inspirations are music, animals and creative play with art materials. Well known for her abstract paintings, she allows the paintings to evolve into something unexpected. Recently, to her surprise a series of abstracts transformed into horse paintings.

With over 40 years of experience, Dobbins has been represented by several Texas and Arizona galleries and has held over 20 solo exhibitions. She was a Finalist in the prestigious Hunting Art Prize in 2007, 2009, and 2011. Her works are in numerous private and corporate collections in the United States and abroad.
