“The Art of Feeding Community” is a love letter: Wende Caporale-Greene paints local cheesemongers, harvesters, farmers, lobstermen, and others working behind-the-scenes in our local food systems. Depicting these workers with reverence, care, and refinement, she offers a modern twist on Old Master portraiture. Accompanied by two family portraits, this exhibition is Caporale-Greene’s most personal project yet and marks the debut solo presentation of a new body of work that offers a unique glimpse at the people who provide their communities with fresh ingredients for daily health and living.
