Escape to the storied lands of Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden in “The Scandinavian Home: Landscape and Lore.” This is the first exhibition to examine the entangled notions of home and homeland that were central to the art of each nation in the second half of the 19th century. The arts played a crucial role in reinforcing a shared sense of belonging as Nordic countries strove to identify and celebrate authentic local and national identities.
